GP Foods India, ably managed by a Mr. Guruprasad Y D, a farmer and entrepreneur, is a strong proponent of rural employment both in farming and post-harvesting activities. 2.5% of the revenue is donated to the education of a girl and to women's welfare associations (small farmers).
We have around 28 years of expertise in Mango Farming, Harvesting & Distribution. We have a quality-assured farm-to-table process.
Our mangoes are sourced from farms across Karnataka and throughout India, helping farmers gain a good value for their produce. At the same time, by employing an in-house team, Mr. Mango eliminates the possibility of tampering with quality. So, all you need to do is savour varieties of delicious mangoes that are chemical-free and rich in flavour, texture, and colour and overall a sensory treat to you.
Our journey
The orchards in and around Ramanagara, Bangalore, Mandya, Mysore, Kolar, and Tumkur in Karnataka, are known for their delicious tasting Mangoes of over 15+ varieties. The Mr. Mango packhouse is located in Ramanagara and covers over 32651 hectares of Mango Farms, producing over 2.5 lakh+ MT of mangoes per year.
Our founders are passionate mango farmers, but they found the mango market widely lacking in good organically ripened mangoes rich in texture, flavour and colour.
As farmers, they were disappointed to see a monopoly in the market filled with chemically ripened, poor-quality mangoes at an exorbitant price.
They also noticed farmers facing injustice in the price being offered for their produce due to severe market price fluctuations and middlemen taking away farmers’ profits.
So, taking the matter into their own hands, they started GP FARM FRESH MANGOES in 2010 launched at Lalbagh, Bengaluru. In the beginning, mangoes were sold by taking orders on phone calls, WhatsApp and Facebook. After the overwhelming and encouraging response from the community, they launched a website and re-established it as MR.MANGO in 2021.
